NBA ILORIN BRANCH TREASURER MANIFESTO

Hope you all are okay and safe given the circumstance and situation tht we found ourselves in.

Firstly, a little about myself, for those that doesn’t know me. I’m Ajiboye Oluwatoyin AbdulAzeez and I will be running for the role of Treasurer in the forthcoming NBA Ilorin Branch election.

I have experience dealing with finances and I’m very comfortable with numbers in cash, so I think I will be ideal for this role.

I consider myself a very social, easy to approach and welcoming person, so I believe I will be a great face for the NBA Ilorin and its members to turn to as I’m always up for a chat.

Unto my first point of manifesto, the monthly Financial Report. This is designed to bring organization into the association’s finances and the whole committee will be aware of the situation that the association will find itself in. I will be able to create forecasts for the future months ahead of key revenue and expenditure. This will allow us to budget for key events such as Law Retreat, NBA Law dinner, Committee travel and so on.

I will also be providing analysis by calculating the minimum number of places required at different price points for events so that we don’t lose money. This will also allow us to organize properly these events in order to meet our target and prepare for better attendance.

Secondly, the association calendar. This will aim to assist the association of its entire yearly schedule. My plan is to work closely with the Chairman and the rest of the executives.

Thirdly, I will ensure strict compliance and continuance with the 10% ensured compliance and make adequate accountability and flow of interest on this policy to my fellow Bar men.

I will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of our great association’s income and expenses and ensure that all financial transactions are transparent.

I will work closely with the executives to create and manage a realistic budget that aligns with our goals and priorities ansd to be able to complete tasks as an individual as well as a team.

If elected as the treasurer of this association, by the Grace of God, I will competently stand and uphold the duties assigned to me in order to add value to the Ilorin NBA to:

1. Create financial strategies
2. Generate financial report
3. Preparing annual budget- includes all revenue such as Bar practicing fee of members, Registration fee for key events and fund raising activities.
4. Maintaining accurate financial record
5. Advise the association on financial strategy- procurement and utilization of funds.

I understand the position of a Treasurer holds a lot of responsibility and I feel I can carry out the tasks required to a high standard.

I would feel privileged to be a part of the NBA Ilorin executive, so please vote for me.
